Altar Ministers and Servers

This ministry is open to the young men and women as well as families (parents and children who wish to serve together), who wish to assist the priest at the altar. Young people, grades 4-12, are eligible. Training will be provided.

Eucharistic Ministers

The responsibilities and tasks of the Extraordinary Minister of Communion are as follows: ∙ During Mass helps the ordinary ministers of communion share the holy gifts of the Lord’s table with those who have gathered for the Eucharist. ∙ May be entrusted with the ministry of taking the sacrament to the sick and absent members of the Church who are at home or in health-care facilities.

Greeters/Ministers of Hospitality

The best sign that a community is alive and vibrant can be seen in the way we welcome parishioner and visitors. Our greeters are men and women who both welcome people to our Church, and also facilitate their comfort and sense of belonging.

Junior Ministers of Hospitality

This band of boys and girls have made it their task to keep the church clean between Masses, by picking up stray paper on the floor, straightening up the prayer booklets, and picking up bulletins and bulletin inserts that are left in Church. A sign-up sheet is posted in the back of the church if any child wishes to become part of this group. After the first ten times helping clean up the church the child will receive a certificate.

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Scriptures to the congregation. Training will be provided.

Music: Adult Choir

Parishioners involved in this group range from seniors in high school to senior citizens. The adult choir is a loyal group of singers who practice each Tuesday from 7:30PM to September through the beginning of June. All sections are in need of voices especially the alto and soprano sections.

Music: Cantors

The cantors are a group of committed individuals who are gifted solo singers and lead the people at weekend and holyday liturgies. Rehearsals are by appointment or recorded music if needed.

Music: Contemporary Ensemble

The Ensemble leads the congregation with a variety of instruments and singers. They minister at the 11:30 am Mass on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, September through May. Rehearsal days and times are to be announced.

Music: Instrumentalists

: A lot of the newer songs for Sunday Liturgies include instrumentation to accompany the organ and piano. Although we have flutists we are still in need of an oboist, violinist, cellist and trumpeter. (Other instruments are also welcome). Any adult or senior highschool student who wishes to volunteer their time and talent to the parish are asked to contact the Music Office.

Music: Resurrection Choir

These parishioners are people dedicated to ministering at every funeral at our parish. They meet once a month (3rd Tuesday) of each month for rehearsal and sing as needed. If your schedule allows you time in the morning, please consider joining this choir.

Music: Youth Choir

"Voices for Peace" This choir is open to second grade children and older. Your child will have the opportunity to learn hymns, songs and psalms as well as get to know other children in the parish and become more familiar with the liturgy. Often when a child joins they bring a "friend" with them. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
